The best place to spend more time with family while sightseeing in Mysore according to us would be the Lighting garden.

The next day we had an early breakfast and started out for Coorg. The journey by road from Mysore to Coorg was quite refreshing. We reached there in about 3 hours and all of us fell in love with Coorg at the first sight. The weather was amazing and we couldn’t have asked for more.

Cherished Memory Of Our Family Trip To South India

family trip to South India

The best part and the most cherished memory of this epic journey would be our bonding and spending more time with each other as a group. Spending leisure time with friends is something we miss during our busy scheduled. Also, it was quite an interesting trip for all the kids. My four-year old son Naksh enjoyed a lot and is full of memories now. Usually he was close to his mum, but I’m glad that even I got to cherish most of my time with him.

How was your overall experience with TravelTriangle?

Our South India travel with family was just perfect. We’ve been traveling with TravelTriangle for past three years and the services they offer are just awesome. The kind of support that they give to the travelers is something I really appreciate. Would like to thank each and every member of TravelTriangle for making our journey smooth and hassle-free!

  • Undoubtedly, spending time with kids and family
  • The weather of Coorg did take us by surprise and made all the difference to this trip
  • Our stay at Devamani hotel in Coorg was the best as we got to spend more time with each other. We used to sit together and play games every night and these are the moments that we’ll miss in future, until our next trip.

  • TravelTriangle is the best for traveling the way you want and customizing your own travel plans.
  • Make sure you plan a holiday of about 10 to 12 days in case you want to visit the same places as we did.
  • We missed on quite a few places and interesting activities. Make sure you inquire about the ideal duration and number of days required at each place to avoid the same.

It didn’t take me long to search for tour packages to Goa, as I already used the services of TravelTriangle twice before. We had pleasant experiences on a vacation to Kerala in 2016, and Andaman in 2015 which had built our trust in TravelTriangle. After receiving quotes from multiple agents, I finally selected the one given to me by Shoes on Loose agency.

Trip Cost: INR 45,000

Inclusion: Flights, transfers, meals, accommodation, and taxes

My wife and I were really looking forward to our first ever trip to Goa where we would relax and enjoy the youthful party vibes resonating throughout the tropical wonderland. Apart from that, Goa was also a welcome relief from the relentless scorching heat we faced in Hyderabad.

We took a flight from Hyderabad and reached Goa at 8 am. After moving out from the airport, we checked into D’Alturas hotel. Since we had arrived before our check-in time, we had a few hours to spare which we decided to spend at the Candolim Beach. The tranquil coast was only 5 mins walking from where we stayed and therefore, we could just walk over there anytime we wanted to.

A few hours later we checked in, took a short nap, and had lunch in the hotel itself. We didn’t do much that evening except take a walk down to the Candolim beach to enjoy the cool evening breeze, and watch the sunset.

As it turned dark, we returned to the hotel to have dinner, and then eventually called it a day.

Day 2: Exploring the beaches in South Goa

This day would mark the beginning of our TravelTriangle Goa tour package. Therefore, we checked out of the hotel and moved to the resort booked with TravelTriangle- Resort de Placido in Goa.

We were again a bit early for a check in, giving us enough time to drop our luggage at the hotel front desk and rent a bike to explore North Goa. After spending a few hours at Baga Beach, we went back to the hotel to move into our rooms.

Earlier, I had requested the hotel staff to upgrade my room to a luxury suite and I would be okay with paying the difference upfront. However, once we moved into the luxury room, they informed me that they won’t be charging anything extra. It was a very nice gesture from the hotel staff, that certainly made a big positive difference to our trip to Goa.

After having lunch at the hotel, we took our bike and traveled to Candolim Beach and spend the remainder of our afternoon there. After spending a full day exploring the beaches in North Goa, we returned to the hotel in the evening to have dinner, and then move to our room for the night.

Day 3: Sightseeing in South Goa

Post breakfast, an AC bus came to the hotel to pick us up and start the sightseeing tour of South Goa.

Majorly, we covered the beaches in South Goa and Panjim city. In Old Goa, we visited churches like Basilica of Bom Jesus, and other monuments like Shri Manguesh, Shri ShantaDurga Temple at Kavlem, and Dona Paula viewpoint.

We halted for lunch at 2 pm and after that, we visited Colva Beach and Miramar Beach. In the evening, we deboarded the bus at the Santa Monica jetty for a sunset river cruise on the Mandovi river. After the 90-minute cruise, we returned to the hotel at 8 pm for dinner and a well-earned night’s sleep.

This day, we started with our sightseeing tour of North Goa at 8 am. We visited many interesting places like Aguada Fort and Chapora Fort, Anjuna Beach, Vagator Beach, Sinquerim beach and Calangute beach.

After our sightseeing tour finished, we were dropped back at the hotel at 4 pm. In the evening, the hotel had arranged a screening of the India vs Pakistan cricket match for all its guests. We enjoyed our time at the cricket screening, as we cheered the Indian team to victory. After the game, we returned to our room for the night.

On the final morning of our trip to Goa, we rented a bike and traveled to Baga beach. For one final time, we took a refreshing bath and had lunch at the beautiful beach. Out of all the beaches we visited, we liked Baga Beach the most for its ambiance, tranquility, and environment.

A few hours later, we returned to the hotel and checked out for our evening flight back to Hyderabad.

After spending five days in a tropical paradise, we couldn’t help but make the inevitable comparisons between the lifestyle difference in Hyderabad and Goa. The one distinct thing I liked about Goa was that the local people were laid back and relaxed.

Even during the offseason, the nightlife in Goa was very lively. Be it only for a short period of time, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant beach city life on our trip to Goa.

High points:

  • We got upgraded to a luxury suite in Goa without being charged extra.
  • As the hotel staff was Bengali, I requested them on the final day to make a Bengali dish and they duly obliged.

What we missed out on:

  • Due to the monsoon season, the waterfalls near Goa were closed.

Low point:

  • I would’ve preferred a personal car instead of the shared AC bus for the South Goa sightseeing tour.

Life in a picturesque paradise is so much better. Book your Goa tour package and enjoy the positive vibes of Goa!
